Joseph Larizza founded Mirador, LLC in 2015 to help investors understand their net worth, evaluate the performance of their investment portfolio, and identify hidden risks and opportunities. Leveraging his over 25 years of experience as a senior technology and operations executive in the financial services industry, Larizza created Mirador as the only performance reporting platform as a service (PaaS) firm in the wealth management industry. He has grown Mirador to be a concierge-style firm servicing families, family businesses, wealth managers, endowments, and foundations.
The inspiration for Mirador came from Larizza’s work at Fieldpoint Private, a wealth management firm and bank built to cater to the needs of high net-worth families, where he served as Chief Administrative Officer heading the bank's Information Technology (IT) and Operations departments.
Before joining Fieldpoint Private, Larizza worked at some of the largest global financial institutions, including Credit Suisse, Goldman Sach's private bank, and Deutsche Asset Management. He also worked at Ernst & Young Consulting, where he started their New York Advanced Development Center practice and launched a fintech dot-com.
Larizza started his career at J.P. Morgan's Operations Training program after graduating from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in information studies. He is actively involved with many youth and community organizations in his home town in Connecticut.
As a partner at Mirador, LLC, Paul Murphy is responsible for business development and relationship management.
From 2006 to 2016, Murphy was Managing Director at Spire Investment Partners, a registered investment advisor and broker dealer (RIA/BD) based in McLean, VA. During his tenure, Spire grew from a local financial planning firm in McLean to a multi-custodial RIA/BD with a national footprint. In addition to his business development role at Spire, Murphy was also a member of the senior management team.
Murphy is a former U.S. Air Force pilot, having risen to the rank of captain. He began his post-military career as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch from 1992 to 1999 and later served as a Branch Manager at several Morgan Stanley offices over a period of seven years.
Murphy holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has been quoted often in the industry press.
